Meet Our Staff

De Anna Sanford General Manager

De Anna began her career in healthcare in 1998 as a Certified Nursing Assistant at our sister property in Mandeville, The Windsor Senior Living Community. She joined Ville Ste. Marie Senior Living Community in 2001 as our Activity Director and has since held several positions here, including Health Service Director, Assistant Manager, and now General Manager. De Anna loves her job and bonding with residents and team members, whom she considers her family! De Anna has been married to her husband, Don, for 22 years. When she’s not working, De Anna spends time with her husband, travels and enjoys anything related to Disney.

Trenell Squall Food Services Director

Trenell has been serving seniors and children in the food service industry for more than 20 years, and now puts her talents to work for the residents here at Ville Ste. Marie. Trenell enjoys her work and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.

Angela Carriere Health Service Director

Angela has worked for Ville Ste. Marie for more than five years. Angela went to school to become a CNA after caring for her elderly grandmother, which is where her passion for elder care began. She has been working with seniors ever since. Working with the residents here is one of her favorite things to do; they are just like family to her. Outside of work, Angela enjoys crossword puzzles, walking her brother's dog Bentley, traveling, and spending time with her family and her husband, who is a firefighter.

Ann Nowak Transportation

Ann has a daughter and has been married for 29 years to her wonderful husband, Chuck. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her four grandchildren, two of whom are twins, and traveling with her friends.

Soulé Rodrigue Activity Director

Soulé is an experienced Activity Director and has held that title in retirement communities for seven years. Her passion is making creative and engaging daily activities and special events. Originally from New Orleans, Soulé has a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and a passion for traveling and hanging out with her family.

Carlene Helmstetter Housekeeping Supervisor

Carlene loves taking care of her residents’ cleaning needs and has been a valuable member of the housekeeping team for more than 14 years. Her time outside of work is spent playing cards with her card club and bonding with her children and grandchildren.

Tommy Walker Maintenance Director

In his more than 15 years of maintenance experience, Tommy has held positions in assisted living communities, nursing homes, and even hotels. Outside of work, you can find Tommy spending time with his wife and children, appreciating nature or astronomy, or being an avid bird watcher.
